Overview

The Business Intelligence Director will be responsible for leading a team of data analysts and database developers that provide reporting and analysis to stakeholders throughout the organization that inform operational and strategic decisions as the team provides support to management of Frontwave Credit Union in maintaining operations, developing growth strategies, and promoting new business opportunities through research and analysis.  This position will be instrumental in leading the team in the construction and gathering of current and historical data sets, metrics and reports and the development of dashboards and insights for the credit union. In addition, this person will actively partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and insights using data and analysis tools.  Responsible for upholding and abide by Frontwave Credit Union’s core values and service expectations.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.  All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations as well as Credit Union policies and procedures:

  • Lead a team of data analysts and database developers that provide reporting and analysis to stakeholders throughout the organization that inform operational and strategic decisions.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members in pursuit of a data-driven culture of collaboration and quality.
  • As part of the organization’s Data Governance strategy, lead the building and maintenance of the organization’s Data Governance assets, such as data dictionary and data lineage documentation.
  • Lead discussions with internal stakeholders pertaining to Data Governance activities.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with our Business Intelligence vendor partners, such as Data Warehouse and reporting tools.
  • Oversee the design, development, implementation, and optimization of Business Intelligence solutions, such as visualization dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or other software tools.
  • Be a hands-on contributor to the team’s work product, including building dashboards and reports, data extracts, and miscellaneous data analysis tasks.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security, implementing the organization’s Data Governance policies and procedures.
  • Communicate meaningful insights derived from data analysis to senior and executive management in a non-technical manner.
  • Assist with the identification, evaluation, and development of controls to mitigate risk and operational impacts related to our data assets.
  • Prepare reports in a manner that is clear and comprehensible to management, internal auditors and regulatory examiners.
  • Communicate Business Intelligence production issues with key stakeholders, such as business users, management team, and the IT Department.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field, including Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analysis or Economics is required.

5+ years business intelligence, report gathering and data manipulation experience.

Financial Services Industry preferred.

 

Salary Range: $ 118,178 - $ 177,267
